Garth called me about noon and said that he wanted to get an early start so I met him and his friend John at the Mission at around 1:30pm. Garth has been wanting to start earlier to get the Mission cleaned and ready for the evening earlier and not be so rushed making soup. We had started at noon the previous day and had achieved quite a lot more cleaning up than we normally would do. Today was no exception, John was an excellent worker and keen to get at it so while he swept and mopped the floors Garth was able to do clean some walls and even a couple of the garbage bins. I worked away at the clothing ministry and was able to cleanup the back room. We have started to play Christian Movies instead of some of the old preaching tapes which are getting pretty old and are showing signs of wear and tear. Yesterday we showed Amazing Grace which went over very well and this evening we showed The End of the Spear an excellent movie _base_d on a true story of Faith and Forgiveness. The evening was good for the most part though marred by some outbreaks of verbal anger and a little pushing and shoving, nothing serious and Bill and I handled it easily. The peoples lives are full of rejection and hopelessness and it can manifest in anger. Kidd was sad about the passing of a friend and lashed out at Jordan who was being mouthy. I ended the night taking Kidd to the Hope Mission Intox and he should be fine for the night. Glen did his usual excellent job of preaching and his prayers are always so powerful, a true sold out christian.
